Join Zion Wright on the road to Tampa Am

Here’s how a crusty little warehouse in Tampa, Florida, can become skateboarding’s Field Of Dreams.

This week, it's back to work as Zion Wright packs his bags for his annual trek to the Tampa Am, one of the most impactful competitions in any young skater's career.

But for a Florida native like Zion, Tampa isn't all about competition. Over the course of his career, he's built a network of industry support that congregates around these parts, making this time of year something like a reunion for him.

With all industry eyes on the Skatepark of Tampa (SPoT), Zion flared his way to a third-place finish alongside good friend and second-place finisher, Alex Midler. As is now tradition, a hectic session ensued at Ryan Clements'  Dream Driveway, his own personal concrete creation.

Next week we'll be in Los Angeles, where Zion's nascent skate career inevitably led him as he holds it down on the competitive streets of skateboarding's proving ground. Don't miss it.
