The Legs of Steel crew has been very quiet about their secret project this year, until now. Tobi Reindl, co-founder and producer, talked to us about the project, which will be released in three parts.

From the hardcore rockers in the tight pants to the baggy gangsters who would insist that poles are for strippers, there is room for everyone...

“We have kept it mellow at the beginning of this season, but we have a top-secret project going down in a few weeks”, said Tobi. “You will hear from us in March, that’s when our project will be officially announced.”

The project will not be a teaser, insisted Tobi, but a neat little prize. They have been digging through old footage from the past few years of Legs of Steel history to piece together the first part of their three-part project this year. The plan for the rest of it is to lay low and collect footage for two years, while releasing some behind the scenes material fused in with high quality action shots.

“We didn’t want to disappear from the face of the earth for two years. We want to do the ‘crew thing’ but unlike other crews, we are film oriented. We want a good vibe and crazy footage.”

The project will culminate in a final feature film next year, for which they say they have huge plans. Considering their world renowned massive 13 man shoot from their film Nothing Else Matters in 2011, it is safe to say that we can expect big things from the rockers in 2015!

Legs of Steel has been known as the badass loud rocker crew in skiing for years now, a misconception according to Tobi. “We are the loud guys who, deep in our hearts, are actually quite conservative. That whole rock thing is for sure what we are into, but it has been over-exaggerated and we are just skiers.”

We are the loud guys who, deep in our hearts, are actually quite conservative.

It is hard to imagine them as being anywhere near conservative, but Tobi does make a point. Skiing seems to be a collection of all kinds of over-exaggerated personas – from the hardcore rockers in the tight pants to the baggy gangsters who would insist that poles are for strippers – there is room for everyone and Legs of Steel play their part.
