The qualifiers for the final of the world’s biggest freestyle football tournament are well under way. Freestylers from around the planet are preparing to snatch the crown away from 2013 winner Szymo (POL) who won the title in Tokyo, Japan. This year's World Final will be held in Salvador, Brazil, from November 13-15 with the women’s qualifiers already decided.

Five judges – Daniel Rooseboom (NED), Lucaso (CZE), Martin Schopf (AUT), Lotar (POL) and Daniel Dennehy (IRL) – picked seven female athletes from hundreds of submitted videos, who will travel to Brazil to challenge reigning women’s world champion Kitti Szasz from Hungary.

Judges had to evaluate the overall performances, awarding a maximum of 10 points for the top video submitted and one thing is already clear: expect the level of athletes in Brazil to be the highest ever. Experienced Melody Donchet of France topped the list of women qualifiers with almost maximum points at 49. Venezuela’s Laura Biondo snatched second spot on 43, followed by Lucia Kevická of  Slovakia on 38.

The United States will be represented by Indie Cowie, who finished fourth in the qualifier with France’s Alice Fougeray in fifth and Agnieszka Mnich from Poland in sixth. Brazil’s Marisa Cintra grabbed the last qualifying spot to ensure the host nation will also be represented in the women’s finals, guaranteeing an electrifying atmosphere at the venue.
