Neymar Jr took his place on the FIFA Ballon d'Or podium on Monday, capping a stunning year for the 23-year-old Brazilian. Neymar Jr scored an incredible 41 goals for Barcelona in 2015 and won five major trophies, including a Champions League, La Liga and Copa del Rey treble.

He's the man most likely to break the Messi-Ronaldo grip on football's top individual award and this year has his own signature tournament in Neymar Jr’s Five. But life is not all about silverware and stats – so to celebrate we took a tour through Instagram, Facebook and Twitter for a unique look back on 2015 through the eyes of Neymar Jr.

January – Back to work

2015 began with some interesting facial hair, a training session with Lionel Messi and a wish for the New Year: 'Back to work… Let's hope it’s a year of victories!'

February – Neymar 2.3

Neymar turned 23 on February 5 and celebrated with a goal against Athletic Bilbao and this Instagram pic of the cake.

March – Dancing with the stars

Neymar scored twice as Barcelona reached the Copa del Rey final with victory over Villarreal. But the performance was nothing compared to the celebration – as Neymar Jr and Dani Alves sang and danced to El Perdón by Nicky Jam.

April – Underwear training

Actually, this Instagram post was at the end of March but we couldn't resist sneaking it in... Well the version on Facebook was his most viewed video of the year.

May – Copa King

After the impromptu song and dance session back in March, Barcelona were celebrating again at the end of May as they beat Athletic Bilbao 3–1, with two goals from Lionel Messi and one from Neymar securing the Copa del Rey. This was his most liked Instagram pic of the year.

June – Good things come in threes

Celebrating the treble after the 3–1 win over Juventus in the Champions League final.

July – The greatest

In July, Neymar spent time with the greatest player in NBA history, Michael Jordan.

August – Welcome!

Back after the holidays, Neymar welcomes new Barcelona team-mate Arda Turan.

September – Denim dreams

This fashion parade was snapped after a 2–1 victory over Atletico Madrid in the Calderon.

October – Tribute to the master

As Pele turned 75, Neymar posted this tribute on Twitter.

November – Be afraid, very afraid

Neymar posted this on November 1 – the morning after the Halloween night before.

December – Santa Claus is coming

But did Neymar make the nice list or the naughty list? I guess after all the goals, the trophies and his place on the Ballon d'Or podium there's only one answer to that...

Here's to an even more successful 2016.
