The racing community has come together to mourn the loss of British racing driver Justin Wilson, who succumbed to injuries sustained during the ABC Supply 500 IndyCar race at the Pocono Raceway last weekend.
Wilson, who was born in Sheffield, raced in Formula One for the Minardi and Jaguar teams in 2003 before moving to America to join the Champ Car series in 2004. Since 2008, he’d competed in the IndyCar series, and had moved to the Andretti Autosport team for 2015.
Tributes to Wilson have poured in on Twitter, while drivers in the Formula E series observed a minute’s silence ahead of their test at Donington Park.
Below are some of the messages drivers and teams have posted for Wilson.
All of us at RedBull.com send our deepest sympathies to Justin Wilson’s family and friends.
