Heading somewhere new this summer will never get old. With this week’s #SummerSoundsLike playing, your beach essentials, and 65kilometers to the north, a trip to Anfeh is a must. With some help from the Live Love family, here’s why:
For starters, its public beach has been nicknamed “Anforini”. Who does that if it’s not entirely necessary?
The locals have got your food cravings covered. With a couple of restaurants right by the water, you can have your pick between a feast and quick sandwiches to go. (Tip: arrive hungry)
Aside from the mouthwatering goodness, get in the water. It’s recently been claimed as one of Lebanon’s cleanest beaches, no really. Snorkeling and discovering small caves are a must.
Even grab a board and head out a little farther; the area is known to surprise you with sea turtles from time to time.
And they’re just as shy as you are excited.
Now if you’d rather be a bum in the sun, that’s alright. The bars will have your toes dancing to their music while you lie in your chosen spot.
Side note, spot the boat-turned-to-bar on August 7th; you won’t regret it.
For those who keep a small place in their hearts for history, take a walk & you’ll stumble upon remnants of a great citadel. Crusaders have carved water channels, salt beds, rooms, and pathways into the rocky peninsula.
And then, sunset.
Just, sunset.
A pit stop at One Stop before heading back is necessary. Wolly behind the supermarket counter will greet you happily as always while you give into your sugar cravings for the ride home.
And that’s one day well spent. Keep up with #MYSUMMEREDITION for all things new this summer.
