It was a jump to remember, as Miles Daisher took the leap from the top of The Treasury in the heart of Petra, Jordan, and landed safely in front of the entrance to become the first ever BASE Jumper to attempt such an endeavor.
The look on Miles’s face as he saw the narrow valley open up to reveal the majestic view of the Treasury was priceless. Describing the place as “Amazing!”, and “A Dream come true.” His first time delving into an uncharted and unknown territory, but Miles’s eyes were set on the big prize, the jump from the top.
A Bedouin guide led the way, and Miles followed in his steps up a rocky path, which led up to the mountain enclosing the Treasury. Almost 2 hours of walking, climbing and crawling to reach the peak and examine the spot from which he will make the historic jump.
