F1 showcar run in Oman

Four-time champions Red Bull Racing visit Muscat, Oman for their latest F1 show car run.

Only a handful of countries get to host an F1 race each year but Red Bull Racing give countries all over the world the F1 experience thanks to their F1 show car runs.
The latest visit for the Red Bull Racing team was the iconic streets of Muscat in Oman, as the four-time world champions gave the Arab country its first taste of Formula One.
13-time Grand Prix winner David Coulthard got behind the wheel of the title winning RB7 to drive the 1.1km strip past Riyam Park and despite the rain, 10,000 motorsport fans came down to watch DC put his foot to the floor and burn some rubber.

"I think it's been a fantastic trip to Oman," said Coulthard. "We've had the opportunity to discover the kind hospitality of the Omanis and the passion they have for motorsports."
The amount of people who stood in the rain shows that there is a much bigger passion for cars in general.

"From a personal point of view I will definitely be coming back to Oman because I think the coastline and mountains and the people have been fantastic," the Scot added.
