The Red Bull athlete will be competing against some of the best drivers in the world at Rounds 1 and 2 of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup on May 13 and 14 at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona, Spain. Al Faisal will be competing in the ultra-competitive championship, with his brand new FZ Racing team, officially launched last week.

Speaking about the upcoming debut, Al Faisal said: I’ll be competing in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup with Lechnar Racing which is the strongest Porsche series in the world. It’ll definitely be a tough season but I’m prepared for it and ready to learn as much as possible.

Just three weeks ago, the racer had a phenomenal double title success during the final event of the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Middle East season. It was definitely the best race weekend of my life, first win in my car career. There are no words to describe the feeling. I feel I proved myself throughout the season with good results but to top it off with an overall was just amazing,Al Faisal said speaking about his recent success.

This weekend opening practice for the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup competitors will take place at 17.50 (local time) on Friday May 12, with qualifying following at 12.30 (local time) on Saturday, May 13, ahead of the first race of the new season at 18.25 (local time).
