Filmers At Large: North Point pumps

North Point is the jewel in West Oz surfing's crown, and just did its thing for its favourite VIPs.

It's a rare gem is Western Australia's notorious North Point.
More recently renowned as the ramp of choice for aerial wizards like Jordy Smith, the Modern Collective kids and Kai Neville's next crop of punks, it is still, on its day, one of the finest freight train barrels to be found in the Great Southern Land.
Such was the case last week, when a roaring Southern Ocean whipped up the ideal combination of conditions needed to bring its Indian counterpart to life, all captured through the lens of colourful West Aussie cinematographer Tom Jennings.

As you'd expect, hometown heroes Taj Burrow and Dino Adrian sprung into valiant action, superbly supported by their more underground, but equally-as-able, local mates at North Point and at a few unknown beachies. You want tubes? You've come to the right place.
It's been a thumping season in the south-west, that  opened in style when the World Tour team rolled into town and continued on through the depths of winter. As summer starts to sink its claws into Australia, it's nice of the region to leave us with one last souvenir to hold onto through the warmer months, before we wax up the big boards again next year.
