Feel the chill with the kings of cold

Few surfers love blizzard barrels more than New Jersey’s Sam Hammer, Mike Gleason, and Rob Kelly.
By Andrew Lewis

Parts of the United States' northeast is piled with snow right now, after a blizzard ripped through town. While most people are trying hard to stay warm, diehard New Jersey surfers like Sam Hammer, Mike Gleason and Rob Kelly are out in the Atlantic Ocean, trading off one freezing tube after another.

The edit above, stylishly done by consumate Jersey filmer and photographer Ryan Mack, is actually from the last blizzard that hit the northeast and New England just a few weeks ago. It seems the hits just keep coming this winter.

Actually, it's been a crazy warm winter on the East Coast, but that doesn't mean much for these guys – it's when the mercury drops and the snow starts dumping that the waves show up and the work starts. We can't wait to see what they've gotten this time around. But, in the meantime, enjoy this freezing footage of surfing's Kings of cold.
