After years of players asking for Legend cards to be inserted into the game, FIFA Online has finally given in to their Malaysian fans’ demands. Perhaps the Malaysian Gods of Weather were acknowledging the insertion of players of similar standings into the FIFA Online 3 Malaysian Server. Three players of Legendary statuses were released, and it is now available in both Malaysia and Singapore..
The most senior of the lot, Serbgeth “Shebby” Singh, is considered one of the rare breeds of football players in Malaysia because he managed to qualify for and play in the Asian Games. We all know what state the Malaysian National Football Team is in. Shebby has experienced an illustrious career on and off field, having represented Malaysia for 9 years, and winning the SEA Games Gold Medal in 1989.
Dollah Salleh is no stranger to Malaysian football, being one part of the deadly strikeforce team, together with Zainal Abidin Hassan. Dollah was renowned for his agility and sleek dribbling, often weaving through players like an experienced seamstress. Dollah Salleh funnily likened his play style to Maradona, saying that many of his previous teammates called him MaraDollah. One of his most notable moments was scoring a goal against South Korea in the 1993 Merdeka Cup.
The third legend of the lot – Ong Kim Swee, the current National Football Coach is one out of a handful of Malaysian players who has ever scored a goal in an Olympic qualifying match. He scored the winning goal against Thailand in a match that would later determine the fate of Malaysia’s qualifying campaign for the 1992 Olympics.
All the legends will be given a similar rating to the best players in the game. What is most notable about the release of these three legends into the Singapore and Malaysian server is that players will now get another CDM option to the likes of Matic, Essien or Vidal because the game has a serious need for good CDMs.
The three legends were chosen based on their contributions to the Malaysian football scene and how each individual legend represents the diverse cultural background Malaysia is so famously known for.
Shebby Singh and Dollah Salleh played in the same national side that has beaten the likes of South Korea and Japan. The team that they were on was one of the most feared from South East Asia.
On the other hand, Ong Kim Swee came from a more recent batch of the national team. He represented the country on multiple occasions from 1990 – 1995. However, Mr. Ong, is more renowned for his leadership qualities, having led the Harimau Muda A squad from 2009 – 2015 before finally taking the top national coaching job in 2015.
Here’s how they look like in game.
