2016 World Championships of Snowboarding
From March 9 to 16 the world’s top freestyle snowboarders will drop in at the 2016 World Championships of Snowboarding in Yabuli, China, battling for the titles in Slopestyle, Halfpipe and for the first time also in Big Air with 500,000 USD in prize money up for grabs. The four defending world champions will be in Yabuli defending their titles from Oslo 2012 - Iouri Podladtchikov current world number two in men’s halfpipe, Kelly Clark current world number one in women’s halfpipe, Chas Guldemond and Spencer O’Brien in the men’s and women’s Slopestyle events. The confirmed rider field is without a doubt the strongest in recent history: Sebastien Toutant, Yuki Kadono, Kyle Mack, Jamie Anderson, Enni Rukajärvi, Shaun White and many others.
