Red Bull Ride My Wave

The surfing kings of Sri Lanka’s east coast can now claim the added title of being the best batch of surfers throughout the island, after a triumphant win over the south in the second leg of Red Bull Ride My Wave. The east entered their home territory holding a decisive edge on the scoresheet, following a surge of scintillating surfing in their opponents’ southern waters earlier in the year. Eventually, the east rode away to a comprehensive win on day one, which they complemented with dominating displays on days two and three to clinch the championship. The victory also booked the east coast team a trip to the Maldives, where they will compete in Red Bull Both Ways, a competition which will run from August 20-30.
