You can't shred the pyramids or jib rocks at Stonehenge, but the 'eighth wonder of the world', the Banaue Rice Terraces in the Philippines, may be the world's most unexpectedly perfect wakeskate playpark.

The rices terraces are over 2,000 years old, and still a source of food and income to the local population, as well as being a national icon.

Gaining access to them took the permission of the local government, but, with their endorsement, Brian Grubb, along with German rider Dominik Preisner, set up rails allowing them to transition from pool to pool.

“Since I first saw the drawing of these huge rice terraces on the back of the 1000 Peso bill, the idea of having a session there wouldn’t get out my head,” Grubb said. “It was only a drawing, but it looked like a perfect winch spot and probably a super scenic location. And it was!”
