Travel to Las Vegas with the Red Bull Air Force as the elite skydive team performs two calculated demonstrations of human flight in episode eight of the Miles Above series.
"We get a thrill out of what we do, but in the big picture, if we want to do this as our whole career, and our life, we need to be smart about it and take calculated risks," admits team captain Jon DeVore.

People love what we do because they think we're this wild and crazy group of guys . . . The truth is, there's a lot more thought that goes in behind the scenes
"We wouldn't even be here if we didn't have the training and the know-how to do it," said Miles Daisher, "And quite possibly get the first jump off this Eiffel Tower in Vegas."
Meanwhile across town, teammate Luke Aikins takes on the week's biggest challenge: overcome nasty wind conditions in order to properly display the American flag in flight for the opening ceremonies of the Red Bull Air Race at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
"People love what we do because they think we're this wild and crazy group of guys that are out there ripping it up, and don't care what happens," says Luke Aikins. "The truth is, there's a lot more thought that goes in behind the scenes."
And as Miles Daisher playfully confirmed as he packed up his chute after successfully landing in front of the Paris hotel valet, "It's all in a day's work!"
