You know you've always wanted to go to New Zealand — and with good reason. It's one of coolest places in the world for adventure sports, thanks to incredible access to both mountains and ocean. That's why we spent a week on the island leading up the ultimate adventure relay — Red Bull Defiance — and had a lot of fun. Watch as we tick a few things off the bucket list in the video below.
Dream moments in New Zealand
Guided and inspired by local adventure athlete Braden Currie, it was easy to find amazing spots. You see epic views of the adventure capital Queenstown, do a trail run at the unique Tunnel Beach, fly the biggest canyon swing in the world, paraglide from Coronet Peak, ride the mind-blowing Rude Rock trail and kayak the beautiful Wanaka lake. It's all amazing.
It was the perfect way to lead up to ultimate adventure race Red Bull Defiance in New Zealand, kicking off this weekend in Wanaka. There will be 100 teams of kayakers, bikers, and trail runners from all over the world racing across 125 miles in two days, thoroughly destroying and completely exhausting themselves in the process.
