“I love surfing,” says pro windsurfer Mark Angulo. “I was raised a surfer. But windsurfing is my surfing. I love getting barreled, but I really love flying over that barrel.”

So yeah, if you thought you sensed a similarity between the two disciplines, you aren’t wrong. It’s just that the one with the sail tends to get riders a ton of air, up and over waves and through churning whitewater that might otherwise swallow a surfer alive. Not that that doesn’t happen to windsurfers, too.

To see what we mean, check out “The Windsurfing Movie II” for an eyeful of action involving Jason Polakow, Robby Naish, Levi Siver and Kai Lenny, who travel the world in search of spectacular locations. Oh, and the meaning of life. But that tends to happen when you’re on an almost spiritual quest for wind and waves.

"I love getting barreled, but I really love flying over that barrel."

Whether they find that meaning is open to interpretation, but the windsurfing they lay down along the way is indisputably some of the finest you’ll see, in some of the most breathtaking locales, from Maui and Cape Verde to Mexico, California and Oregon.

Get a taste of the action in the trailer that follows, then be sure to watch the full movie.
