Brook MacDonald Flies Down Mountain of Rock Debris

Brook MacDonald tests himself against the world's most challenging scree terrain in New Zealand.
By Rajiv Desai

The imposing Mount Cook in New Zealand’s South Island provides a stunning backdrop to this Brook MacDonald edit as he goes in search of scree -- which is essentially masses of small rock fragments -- to ride down.

Brook finds the perfect spot near the Glentanner trails. It will be a test of all of his riding skills; the Trek rider has to make sure that his tires get enough grip on this challenging terrain as they could easily slip when riding at speed.

Despite reservations about the steep angle of the run, Brook soon picks up speed and with superb bike handling he charges it from top to bottom.
