Building the course was hard work, but it definitely came with its perks. Matty did a lot of the testing during the build, and it showed -- he was blasting the jumps with amazing style all day.
Notice his left arm? Morgan clipped the tree and got kicked 90 degrees, resulting in his second major crash of the day over the last jump. He was the first to ride the course top to bottom, but crashed a superman seatgrab at the end of the run.
On Thursday night, everyone drew marked dowels from a tree stump (makes sense, right?) to determine the heat they would run in for qualifiers on Friday: Lumberjacks (morning heat) or Loggers (afternoon heat). KC Badger supplied the cool wooden discs with the riders' names on them.
