Wet conditions at Châtel on Sunday failed to dampen the spirits of riders and spectators alike as the European Downhill Cup entered the penultimate round of this year’s series.
The fastest woman in the Elite Women finals was Blackthorn GT’s Zarja Cernilogar with Miriam Ruchti (SC-Intense) second and Carina Cappellari third (Suspension Center). Cernilogar’s win confirmed her as the winner of the overall 2013 European Downhill Cup series in the women’s category.
Ruaridh Cunningham record the best time of 2:47.763 in the men's competition with Jack Moir (Yeti Fox Shox) and Lars Peyer (SC-Intense) in second and third respectively.
