Photos: Riding in Traffic with Daniel Dhers

A collection of images from Daniel Dhers' Riding in Traffic project.

Daniel Dhers put on quite a show on his recent visit to Lima in Peru. In an eye-catching project never seen before, Daniel took to riding specially built ramps that had been mounted on to two trucks while those trucks moved around the centre of Lima.

It was certainly an unforgettable experience for the Venezuelan. There were obvious dangers involved due to the moving traffic around him but thankfully there were no real problems to contend with during the riding sessions.

I never did anything like this in my life. Once I did something similar on a boat, but never on trailers ramps… and in movement! .

Despite the strange set-up, it didn't take long for Daniel to get used to the ramps and riding with the traffic around him.

Taking a breather

Daniel takes a breather from riding and enjoys the sights of Lima. Motion sickness was a real concern and so breaks while going around on the trucks were a necessity.

Scary times

Daniel didn't mind admitting that riding the moving trucks was one of the scariest things he has ever done. There was always the chance that he could overshoot the ramp and land in moving traffic.
