In 2012, Canadian Kurt Sorge threw down a convincing, mountain-taming run — reaffirming what we know about Nelson, British Columbia-raised riders: They can handle big terrain; also see: Robbie Bourdon. Antoine Bizet highlighted that Europeans can rip big mountains, too, by claiming the silver medal. And Kyle "Norbs" Norbraten showed the world that you don't need to land on the podium to capture the people's hearts.
