Infinti Red Bull Racing driver Daniel Ricciardo will drive the Red Bull Show Car in Sri Lanka.

As announced earlier this year, Daniel Ricciardo will replace fellow Aussie Mark Webber as an Infiniti Red Bull Racing driver for the 2014 season alongside newly-crowned quadruple World Champion Sebastian Vettel.

Before he makes his Red Bull debut at the 2014 Australian Grand Prix however, we’ll be burning some rubber in Sri Lanka in the latest Red Bull Show Car run.

Ricciardo and the show car team will drive along the streets of Kandy, Galle and Colombo in Sri Lanka between December 13th and 15th; finishing at the Colombo Night Race.

Sri Lankan race fans will get up-close and personal with Formula One as Ricciardo drives the title-winning Red Bull Racing RB7 from 2011.

Seeing the smile on thousands of people’s faces will make me feel like I’ve done my job.

“I’m excited to go to Sri Lanka,” said Ricciardo. “I’ve never been there before and what I do know about the country is through cricket - they’ve got a pretty good cricket team! I’m looking forward to visiting, to seeing a bit more and learning a bit more about the country.

“In terms of the events, the more fans we see the better, and hopefully they’ll be very enthusiastic. I guess some of them have probably never seen a Formula One car before so, seeing the smile on thousands of people’s faces will make me feel like I’ve done my job. That’s what we do these events for - to try to show what goes on in our world and let fans get up close to the car.”

Fans also have the opportunity to get even closer to the Infiniti Red Bull Racing team through the ‘Race your way into the Infiniti Red Bull Racing garage’ online kartfighter game at www.redbull,com/f1sl.

Winners will gain exclusive access to the Red Bull hospitality area at the Colombo Night Race, as well as being entered into a draw to win a once in a lifetime prize – a ticket to the Infiniti Red Bull Racing garage at the Malaysian Grand Prix in 2014.
