Poland's Jakub ‘Kuba’ Przygoński is best known as a talented rally-raid rider who has successfuly made the switch from two wheels to four, but when not busting the dunes on cross-country rallies, he also turns his hand to a bit of drifting.
For most race fans he been primarily associated with the Dakar, since winning best rookie at the toughest rally in the world back in 2009. He then went on to claim an excellent eighth-place overall in 2010 and has consistently finished well ever since.
In drifting, amongst his notable achievements are breaking the Guinness World Record for fastest controlled skid – clocking in at 217.97kph – and winning the 2015 Polish Drifting Championship.
The move from bike to car was prompted by a serious accident at the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge 2014, which saw him fracture three vertebrae in his lumbar spine.
The 2016 Dakar Rally marked Kuba's debut in the race driving for the Mini team and saw him finish in 15th place overall, first among the Polish drivers.Read more
