As a nine-time World Rally Champion the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb should be fairly easy for Sebastien Loeb right? Well at 4300 metres above sea level, the event will be like nothing the Frenchman has ever experienced before with the high altitude playing its part on both man and machine.

Loeb’s Peugeot 208 T16 Pikes Peak has been specially designed for this unique event in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, but it’ll be event tougher for the driver to put up with the lack of oxygen, something the WRC champion will experience when 14,110 feet above sea level at the finish.

In this latest video from Colorado, we hear from Loeb and Peugeot about what both the driver and the car have to cope with in the unfamiliar conditions on top of Pikes Peak.
