Red Bull Music Academy, which is set to take over New York City in May, has added more headliner acts to its already star-studded event calendar. Topping the list is Mykki Blanco, who will join the lineup of rapper Le1f’s show on May 7.
From April 28 - May 31, Red Bull Music Academy will set up one mother of a residency, with 37 events and more than 230 artists, in support of its annual series of workshops. This year marks Red Bull Music Academy's first session in New York since 2001.
Other recent additions include Andrew Bird and Robert Glasper joining Questlove, Kim Gordon and others for ‘A Night of Round Robin Duets’ on May 1. And London-based dance trio Factory Floor will join the DFA Records' 12th Anniversary celebration on May 25. The lineup already includes, among others, label co-founder James Murphy, YACHT, Black Dice and The Rapture, which will drop a DJ set.
