The Mobb Deep rapper's bleak, brutal vision remains persistent on his new album.
Prodigy, a co-founder of classic rap group Mobb Deep, tells raw stories about the heroes and villains who battle every day on the meanest streets imaginable. With 'Albert Einstein,' his new Alchemist-produced album, he drags us deeper into a hellish world of constant struggle and fragile hope.
Prodigy and Alchemist also bring some friends along to help them out, including Roc Marciano, Odd Future's Domo Genesis, the Wu-Tang Clan's Raekwon, and Mobb Deep's Havoc. The song 'The One' also includes an appearance by Action Bronson, whose recent 'Rare Chandeliers' mixtape was produced by Alchemist.
'Albert Einstein' is out today on Prodigy's own Infamous Records label, and it is currently streaming at DJ Booth.
In other news, Akashic Books recently announced the launch of Prodigy's Infamous Books imprint. The first release, out July 16, is a novella he wrote, titled 'H.N.I.C.'
