Toronto-based producer Ryan Hemsworth, the most recent subject of our Behind the Beats video series, is releasing his debut LP, 'Guilt Trips,' on October 22 through Last Gang. Today, Hemsworth shares the first single, 'Against A Wall,' featuring Miami rapper Lofty305, of Metro Zu.

Much like Hemsworth's past collaborations with Shady Blaze and Main Attrakionz, 'Against A Wall' is layered, cloudy and blissful. A drifting Lofty305 sounds totally blazed but very romantic, singing about love and forever.

'Guilt Trips' features a combination of Hemsworth's new instrumental material, and also new collaborations with Kitty (formerly Kitty Pryde), Baths, Sinead Harnett, and Tinashe.

About 'Guilt Trips,' Hemsworth says he "wanted to make an album that sounds great on headphones. I wanted it to come from the place where I think a lot of the artists I listened to in high school were coming from: a more emotional, human place."

"I'm still lumped into the electronic music world," he continues, "which is totally a part of me. I'm booked for club shows and festivals and stuff, but I want to make music that's a bit outside of that world. I want to make music that's a little bit of everything."
