The new season of HBO's 'Girls' starts soon and Sonic Youth co-founder Kim Gordon will be in it.

In a recent interview with Slate, Kim Gordon, the Red Bull Music Academy lecturer who used to be in Sonic Youth (RIP) and now makes music as 1/2 of Body/Head, announced she will appear in an upcoming episode of 'Girls,' the HBO show created by Lena Dunham.

Gordon, who has previously been on 'Gossip Girl' (with Sonic Youth), did not say when the episode she appears in will air, but the third season of 'Girls' starts in January 2014.

'Coming Apart,' the new album by Gordon's noise-rock duo with Bill Nace, Body/Head, is out September 10 through Matador. Lena Dunham does not make an appearance on the album, which is streaming in its entirety right here.
