Listen to a very strange, tame collaboration between Juicy J and Katy Perry called 'Dark Horse.'
Not even Nostradamus could have predicted this. A collaboration between Three 6 Mafia boss and twerk-scholarship-giver Juicy J and twerk-princess Miley Cyrus would have made much more sense because both have similar interests that are trending. But a song by Juicy and pop star Katy Perry?
Bizzare. But true. And it makes perfect sense for Katy Perry to tap into the "twerk hype," especially after Miley's recent boom, and for Juicy J to be Katy's go-to-guy for twerk-legitimacy.
The two have teamed up on 'Dark Horse' (streaming above), the second single from Katy Perry's upcomng album, 'Prism,' out October 18 through Capitol. It kicks off with Juicy J proclaiming "Let's rage," and then Katy Perry charges in like a 'dark horse,' or at least that is what she claims.
'Dark Horse' is actually very tame. With Juicy's involvement, one would expect it to be a bit wild and crazy. But even when he raps about Jeffrey Dahmer and rollercoasters and comas, the song never pushes the boundaries of Katy Perry's very carefully planned twerk-affiliated pop rebellion.
