On Saturday, the day after her new album, 'Bangerz,' was released, Miley Cyrus had a total blast as the host and musical guest of Saturday Night Live. As you can see in the video above, after her performance of 'We Can't Stop' she gave an ecstatic high-five -- her tongue joyously protruding from her mouth -- to one of the guitarists who played with her on the gorgeous acoustic version of the previously hard-thumping, unapologetically raging party anthem.
Miley was also hilarious. The best skit she did was a parody of 'We Can't Stop,' which became a critical, ridiculous jab at the Republican Party and the government shutdown called 'We Did Stop.' Cyrus played Republican congresswoman Michele Bachmann -- her tongue still protruding, but this time even more devilishly -- and SNL cast member Taran Killam played Speaker of the House John Boehner. Watch it below, as well as a performance of 'Wrecking Ball.'
In the controversial, record-breaking video for 'Wrecking Ball,' Miley took her clothes off and swung around on top of a wrecking ball. At SNL, there was no wrecking ball; Miley was clothed. There were no frills; no shock-tactics. She just sang the song. And it was stirring.
