Twin Berlin self-released 'Sleazebrain' in late-February. It's the Connecticut band's debut album, and the follow-up to 2012's 'There Goes My Virtue' EP, which was recorded at Red Bull Studios LA and produced by Blink-182's Travis Barker. 'Sleezebrain' is a dirty rock album that proves these dudes have studied every second of Dinosaur Jr's 'You're Living All Over Me' and probably Mudhoney's 'Superfuzz Bigmuff' too. Today, we premiere Twin Berlin's new video for new song 'No Fun/Not 21.'
"The concept for the video," says vocalist/guitarist Matt Lopez, "was put together backwards, in a sense. We were driving from New Hampshire to Portland, Maine, joking about playing games and the loser getting a mullet. When we checked into our hotel before the show, James just said 'Nose goes,' so we ran down to the lobby, got scissors and we cut a mullet. We get bored on the road..."
"We had spent the previous night playing floor hockey in my cousin's living room," continues Lopez, "and got the idea to turn the video into a street hockey game, bringing our original mullet competition full circle. Sadly, Ned lost his arm during the game and has to undergo surgery. Don't worry though, he'll be back on the road soon!"
We promise all that will make much more sense once you watch the video for 'No Fun/Not 21,' which you can do up top. Below, check out Twin Berlin's upcoming tour dates.
