In 2013 the all-female brass band The Original Pinettes made history under the Claiborne Bridge by winning the Red Bull Street Kings brass band blowout. Not only were they able to take home bragging rights, but they also earned a trip for a three day recording session.
Bringing the Big Easy to the Big Apple The Original Pinettes traveled to New York City to record in the Red Bull Studios. Working with legendary producers Mannie Fresh and Trombone Shorty, the Original Pinettes took their iconic second line New Orleans Jazz sound and mixed in some hip-hop influences for their recording session.
