Fresh from their performance at 30 Days In LA with Reignwolf and Grizzled Mighty, Houston's Tontons are back with a brand new video.
Today we're excited to premiere 'Ruins,' a video directed by Mutemath's Darren King for a song from The Tontons 2014 album, 'Make Out King and Other Stories of Love.'
"'Ruins,'" says Tontons singer Asli Omar, "tells the story of a long term, long distance relationship that I was in that was on the brink, mostly while on tour, and it's eventual ending. It's also, notably, the last track on the album."
"I was honored to have the chance to work with a such a great up and coming band and on such a good song," says director Darren King about the collaboration. "The concept for the video was literally just 'smoke and mirrors.' Asli is such a spellbinding performer that it made the video director's job very easy."
Watch 'Ruins' above. The Tontons are working in the studio on their follow-up to 'Make Out King,' so keep your ears open for some new music (hopefully) very soon.
