Sleigh Bells dropped a new song last week out of the blue, featuring Tink, the young Chicago rapper and singer responsible for one of our favorite mixtapes this year. Now, we've got the music video for the hard-hitting collaboration, 'That Did It.'
The video is very in-your-face. In other words, it's very Sleigh Bells. It features Krauss and Tink, almost exclusively, in a rotating wardrobe of designer clothes, singing and rapping straight into the camera lens.
The collaboration between the two artists all started when Tink opened for Sleigh Bells in Austin last March, and Sleigh Bells' Alexis Krauss called Tink on stage for an improvised segment. The two continued the relationship in the studio in New York, with Tink coming up with the first verse of a song that Sleigh Bells have kicked around for a while. Then magic happened. Where will it all go from here? Who knows, but so far so good.
Tink performs with fellow Chicago emcee Saba and A$AP Mob, A$AP Rocky and A$AP Ferg at the Hollywood Palladium on November 30 to close out Red Bull Sound Select Presents: 30 Days In LA.
