Skate Space Part 1: Blank Canvas

The Torey Pudwill and artist CJ Rench collaboration begins.
By Lando Garcia

Torey heads up to Seattle to help make art that has skate potential. Part 1 features the first step: picking the artist.

Vision and Mission
Artists don't want skaters grinding on their work, so Torey will help pick an artist from the northwest area of the United States, who will design a permanent sculpture at Jefferson Park in Seattle for skaters to skate on. Skate on art that's meant to be skated on.

The Artist
Torey picked CJ Rench, who works primarily in stainless and mild steel. Check out the art of CJ Rench.
