A handful of European rippers gathered in the heart of France last week for the inaugural edition of Bowl On Fire.
Among the challengers were Frenchies Guillaume Mocquin, Vincent Matheron, Robin Bolian and Aurélien Giraud, the incredible Dannie Carlsen, from Denmark, and the Spanish shredder, Danny Leon, who unfortunately managed to hurt himself straight off the plane.
The bowl underwent a few changes for the bash - and was pimped out with a massive extension, close to a metre of vertical danger, and covered with a mural by artist Lucas Beaufort. The volcano was ready to erupt!
No runs, no jams, just a good old two-hour session at the end of which the riders themselves elected the ‘Bowl Burner’. Best line and a few best tricks were also rewarded.
After the prizes were dished out, an improvised session with a sofa used as an extension saw a load of gnarly tricks go down to close the event in style. See you next year!
