The pool on Alem Street was very difficult to skate, since none of its walls were the same. Being one of the only skateable pools in the country, it had been used for over 20 years. It was covered with rocks and garbage for many years, until two years ago local skaters dug it out and cleaned it. Unfortunately, this past December it was covered again and this photo of Juano Wallace doing a huge frontside grab was one of the last shot here.
