If something like the term "national team" can be applied in snowboarding, we can definitely define the Norwegian "national team" as the best one out there at the moment. For instance, nobody has ever seen so many triples like in this short clip by Leo Cittadella, filmed during a private session of "Team Norway" up in Northstar, California. And it's not all about technical rotations and nonsense spins, they're also very keen on maintaining a superior level of style, which does matter in the end.
Brage Richenberg, Gjermund Braaten, Emil Andre Ulsletten, Torgeir Bergrem, Ulrik Badertscher, Aleksander Ostreng, Sondre Tiller, Jørn Simen Aabøe. All these guys have definitely set the bar really high this time around, and most likely no other national team could count on so many slopestyle superheroes right now. Maybe Canada, but not even USA.
And as I've already written the other day upon the Norwegian Triple Saga, amongst these names, others are missing: some already super famous like Torstein Horgmo, and some going to be super famous in short time like Marcus Kleveland.
Fans of contests (slopestyle and big air), don't miss the action so much during summertime, because the next season (as well as the next level) is already here.
