Here are snowboarders who are equally talented at writing as they are at riding.
Building, blogging, and maintaining a web base has become second nature to most of us at this point. For pro snowboarders, it's no different as it's an integral part of their daily life, and often written into their contracts. Blogging is more than a hobby for these pros, it's big business.
There are a lot of decent blogs, but there are a few riders who are just as talented at being a blogger, as they are a snowboarder.
Here are four blogs to bookmark, and check regularly.
1. Torstein Horgmo
The triple corking, big airing, backcountry ripper, Torstein Horgmo, has one of the best and most entertaining snowboard blogs on the web. The Norwegian packs his site with hilarious viral web videos that truly showcase his personality. Horgmo invites friends to play a Game of: In Your Face, where each calls out a trick for the other to do, and the one who doesn't land the trick twice, gets snow slashed in their face.
2. Frends Crew
The guys who founded the Frends brand started a site called Frends Vision some years back. The crew consists of Jack Mitrani, Danny Davis, Scotty Lago, Luke Mitrani, Mason Aguirre, Eric Jackson, Mikkel Bang, Kevin Pearce, and Greg Bretz. This insanely talented group of snowboarders are best friends making videos that follow their antics throughout the year. The best part about their site is their lack of seriousness. They make fun of snowboarding, fellow snowboarders, as well as themselves.
3. Eero Ettala
Finnish native and ridiculously talented snowboarder, Eero Ettala, showcases his abilities on, From Eero Ettala With Love. Not only are there tons of fresh videos with sick shred footage of Ettala and friends, there are videos of him skateboarding (he's really good at that too), insight to his equipment, photos from around the world, and posts following his journey through life.
Olympian superpipe rider, Elena Hight, re-launched her blog recently and it's perfect if you're into health, fitness and snowboarding. Of course she has videos and photos of her doing her thing in the snowboard realm, but under the blog tab, Elena posts weekly tips on exercising and recipes.
For Get Fit Friday's, Elena writes tips on exercises that help her stay in snowboard shape including yoga, slack lining, and circuit training. For Tasty Tuesday's, Elena teams up with her sponsor, Boarding For Breast Cancer (B4BC), to promote healthy and delicious recipes.
