Get to know the Swedish freeski star a little better with the help of this intimate video profile.

It’s more than likely that you know about Jon Olsson; he is a freeski legend. He’s won Red Bull Home Run for the past two years and has more Winter X Games medals than even Mr T could reasonably wear at one time.

He invented at least four new flips that we can think of (aside from the Kangaroo Flip, he also introduced the DJ Flip, Hexo Flip and the Tornado). He even has top freeskiers come to him to compete now; the Jon Olsson Invitational is amongst the highlights of the freeskiing calendar.

When I sit down in the chairlift, I’m totally calm. It feels like I’ve found my place in life.

That’s the public stuff though, what about the character behind the success, the glamorous lifestyle and the fast cars? In this video profile we speak at length to Jon himself to find out what motivates him. We chat to close family and friends to hear what he was like growing up and how he developed to become the person he is today.

What it reveals is an athlete and entrepreneur driven to be the best he can, who can appear demanding and stubborn but gets 100 per cent from himself and those around him. In a revealing moment, Jon also talks about the impossible challenge he set himself when betting that he could qualify for the Swedish Giant Slalom team in 2014.
