Björn Dunkerbeck finished this season’s Professional Windsurfers Association Tour in second place.
30-knot winds and big waves hampered the last stop of the 2012 PWA Tour in Sylt, Germany. These weather conditions meant it was only possible to run two slaloms that counted towards the championship. This was bad news for Björn because on the second of these two races he broke his mast and was unable to complete the slalom.
The results from Sylt put Björn in second place at the end of the 2012 PWA Slalom season. Frenchman Antoine Albeau claims this season’s World Championship while Micah Buzianis finished behind Björn in third place.
Björn is already preparing for next season after the disappointment in Sylt and has his eyes fixed on the first date of the 2013 PWA Tour over in South Korea next May.
