Check out this clip of Philip Köster training in Hawaii. It certainly paid dividends last weekend.
Ahead of the PWA World Tour season, Philip Köster headed to Ho'oikpa to train in Hawaii's beautiful surroundings to take himself to the next level, as this profile clip shows.
The elements conspired against the 25th anniversary of the PWA Pozo World Cup last week when there was a distinct lack of wind and waves at the Gran Canaria venue for the vast majority of the week.
The competitors and spectators were forced to wait until the final day of competition for the right conditions to transpire and during that small window the men’s and women’s Super Session was finally held.
And Köster showed that all his pre-season training had paid off with the 19-year-old giving an example as to why he is the number one in the world. Köster began in impressive fashion with one of his familiar, yet excellent upright double forwards followed by a superb no handed backloop to ensure the victory.
Check out the video above to see how he does it.
