Emirates Team New Zealand were comfortable winners of Race 5 of the 34th America's Cup to take a 4-0 lead in the series.

The Kiwis took the race by over a minute and in response the Americans used their one and only “postponement card” to try and put a halt to Team New Zealand's winning ways.

Needing 10 wins to land the America's Cup after this latest setback, Oracle skipper Jimmy Spithill said that it was a collective decision of the crew to request that Race 6 is postponed until Thursday.

“We need to go back and regroup," Spithill said. "We feel they have an edge on us at the moment, especially upwind. We need to do a bit of work here and we’re going to play the card, strategically, and hopefully improve in time for the next race.”
