See how our Red Bull athletes have been spending their time this week...
A weekend of domination for Sebastian Vettel at Formula One’s Singapore Grand Prix began with the World Champion securing pole position for Sunday’s race at the Marina Bay Street Circuit.
When the lights went out for the main event Nico Rosberg briefly got in front of Vettel at turn one but ran wide allowing his fellow German back into the lead. From then on not even a safety car could stop Vettel from taking his third victory in a row by a comfortable margin.
Russian Red Bull athlete Timur Timerzyanov has been crowned European Rallycross Champion for the second year in a row after producing a cool performance in the season finale in Germany. Timerzyanov outclassed his rivals all weekend at the Estering track to put the title out of reach before the weekend’s final race had even taken place.
FMX biker Mat Rebeaud whipped his home fans into a frenzy as he took top spot at the King of Crossover contest at the 19th edition of Freestyle.ch. In front of the 33,000 spectators gathered in Zurich it was Rebeaud who got the loudest cheer of the day from the stoked out crowd.
The final round of the 2013 UCI DH World Cup in Leogang saw Steve Smith and Rachel Atherton walk away with the Men's and Women's titles. After a tough contest Rachel had to settle for second on the day behind Emmeline Ragot while Steve had the mental challenge of not only seeing off title rival, Gee Atherton, but also some incredible runs from other riders.
The seventh stop of the 2013 ASP World Championship Tour saw the world’s best surfers come together for the Hurley Pro Trestles. Julian Wilson was quick to master the swell before defeat in the final saw him forced to settle for a second place finish. Michel Bourez was also on form as he recorded a third place finish in California.
There were also impressive performances from a pair of our teenage surfers in the past week. Leonardo Fioravanti was crowned the 2013 ASP European Junior Champion and Vasco Ribeiro scored third at the Surf Rias Baixas Pro.
