Thousands of runners from around the world are getting ready to run the Wings for Life World Run on May 4, 2014.
In this video Wings for Life World Run ambassador Brooke Thabit tells us exactly why spinal cord injury research is so vital and she's joined by pro surfer Jamie O'Brien, who has become good friends with Brooke and lends his support for this amazing event.
"I became Brooke’s number one fan after her injury," O'Brien said. "I kind of took a place in the family."
