Why Your Surf IQ Went Up (Or Down) This Week

Did surfing get smarter this week? Did it get dumber? Let's recap the week of April 21-27th.

Surfing Goes Legit: In the past, most surfing documentaries were tarnished by cheesy interviews and sub-par production. In the now, surfing documentaries are legit. At the forefront: RedBull’s own 21Days. The first episode of the second chapter dropped this week, and it’s been getting high-fives everywhere it goes.

Does Anybody Care?: Surf Heritage Vintage Surf Auction announced that they are coming to California. They will be at the OC Fair on May 11th, and your dad probably cares.

Lowers Does Lowers: The frightened man’s Pipeline, Lowers is the only other peak on the planet that can summon such an insane amount of people to its waters. Early this week, Lowers did what it does best: provided some of the most rippable rights and lefts in the world and seduced hundreds of people into riding them.

Portuguese Sausages: Supertubes turned it up early this week. Big ol’ beachbreak tubes were grilled up and Tiago Pires chowed them down like there was no tomorrow.
