Owen Milne is a 21-year-old surfer, skater and filmmaker from the central coast of New South Wales, Australia. As a young buck he grew up filming local heroes like the hard-charging Andrew Mooney, finding his cinematic feet nice and early. Having world tour stalwarts like Matt Wilkinson and Adrian Buchan in the neighborhood to link up with didn't hurt either.
Milne's tireless work ethic and drive to succeed has led him to produce projects with guys like Kiwi maestro Ricardo Christie, and travel to Hawaii season after season — his "Black Friday" Pipeline clip continuing to rack up the views years later.
In 2016, Owen's body of work included filming some of the world's best on the Gold Coast in the way of Mick Fanning and Jordy Smith before heading to Pitstop Hill in the Mentawai Islands to pull focus for Alex Smith and Riley Laing. There, not only did he become firm friends with the mythical Johnny Jungle, whose incredible shots we see below, but he pulled together the show reel we see above.
With Milne's passion to pursue his talents and as more of the world's best signing up to surf in front of his lens, we, the viewers, are the real winners. Enjoy!
