Marc-Antoine Rossi seemingly came out of nowhere to become arguably the breakout star in the 2023 FIM Motocross World Championship season.
The young French rider graduated from the EMX125 series to the hugely competitive EMX250 championship for the 2023 with the backing of the Pierer Mobility Group, parent company of KTM, Husqvarna and GasGas.
He secured his maiden EMX250 win just a few months later, scoring victory at Teutschenthal, Germany, but it was his surprise wildcard ride in the full MX2 World Championship class at his home French Grand Prix that really turned heads.
There, Marc-Antoine showed his abundance of raw natural speed and clear potential by racing to 8–6 finishes on the day, making the elite MXGP teams immediately sit-up and take notice.
Wasting no time, the Red Bull GASGAS Factory Racing team of MXGP champion Jorge Prado signed him up to a multi-year deal to race the MX2 class from 2024 onwards.
After a steady start this debut MX2 campaign, Marc-Antoine suffered an untimely and season-ending ACL injury to his left knee during the German Grand Prix at the same Teutschenthal track where he won his first EMX250 race.
Working hard on his recovery, it won’t be long before he’s back on track and challenging for Grand Prix glory.
